Siyangaphi is in charge of the Sister Monica Youth Development Soccer Centre that caters for Benoni, Daveyton and surrounding areas.
"I established this centre towards the end of last year after seeing that the number of quality players coming from this area into the professional ranks was dwindling," Siyangaphi said.
"When I started the project, the first thing I did was to approach schools in the area and I must say that the support we have been receiving from them has been tremendous.
"We registered to play in the Eastern Local Football Association, which is under the South African Football Association's Ekurhuleni region.
"I'm happy that our Under-17 side won the double this season - walking away with the championship title and Easterns Cup. The Under-15s were runners-up in the league.
"Daveyton is the home of soccer in Gauteng after producing many talented soccer players such as Pollen Ndlanya, Jabu Pule (Mahlangu), Jerry Sikhosana, Isaac Shai, Collen Tlemo, Clement Mazibuko, Nhlanhla Kubeka and Junior Khanye.
"I want to use the development centre to ensure we sustain the production of quality players for Bafana Bafana and the Premiership clubs.
"The other aim is to see more youngsters in various junior national teams," said Siyangaphi, who also played for Witbank Black Aces.
He is planning to meet Gauteng MEC for sport, arts, culture and recreation Lebogang Maile and Ekurhuleni mayor Mondli Gungubele to introduce the project to them.
"We want to work closely with the provincial government so that they can also help us with resources," he added.
