THE death of Joseph Ntshimane "Fish" Kekana, a former Mamelodi Sundowns director, will leave a void in the community.
Sundowns communications director Alex Shakoane yesterday paid tribute to Kekana, who passed away on Sunday. Credited with bringing Sundowns to Mamelodi after Kekana and partners Doctor Motsiri Itsweng and Bonnie Sebotsane had bought the team from nearby Eesterust, he was regarded as a visionary.
His widow Mary said while he had been sick for some time the family was devastated by his passing. A memorial service will held at Mamelodi West community hall today at 4pm.
Shakoane said all Sundowns supporters were invited to the memorial service.
