It is so saddening that Mama Zondeni Veronica Sobukwe departs this world while we are still in the process of getting back our own land.

It is also disheartening that she departs at the time when the PAC is divided to the core, with leaders constantly fighting, with utmost disregard for what Robert Sobukwe stood for.

They have all failed to emulate Robert Sobukwe as all their energy is focused on internal conflicts, much to the detriment of the party, the country and the entire African continent.

Currently, there are two campus in PAC pulling in different directions.

As we head towards national elections next year one would have expected these leaders to focus on unity and pondering the issue of the return of land to the masses.

It was indeed going to be a great thing for Mama Sobukwe to depart this world at a time when the organisation was preaching unity and Africanism, instead of squabbling.

Without any doubt, PAC leaders have failed Mama Sobukwe and all those Africans who still believe in the building of a better South Africa and the continent at large.

This, again, shows how politics of stomachs can destroy an organisation.
