The day President Cyril Ramaphosa decides to visit Marikana, he will want to campaign and tell those widows lies and promise them heaven and earth.

It has been full six years since the killing of miners; he has never been to the place. However, there might have been some aspects to be met before he goes to the widows and fatherless children who are suffering and struggling because their breadwinners are no more.

Marikana issue was not fully dealt with; the widows are still heartbroken and they are still in pain. The massacre has become a political football for politicians. They, in fact, politicised Marikana to the point where it is inescapable for ordinary citizens and victims to escape that fact.
