The politics that Barack Obama believes in, the capitalist inclined, is true but reactionary to the poor masses.

"Obama's tribute to Madiba fitting," (Sowetan 11 July 2018), is also a bourgeoisie-inclined killer. A politically progressive leader is not judged by the colour of his skin. We judge a person by his political orientation and beliefs.

Obama did not hide that he was a capitalist. Mandela did not hide that he was a democratic leader for the poor masses of South Africa. I presume that this is why Obama is visiting SA when Madiba is dead and buried.

I regard Obama as a political opportunist. The fact that he was the first US black president does not mean that he was progressive.

Obama was a diplomatic reactionary.

If Obama was a progressive person, the first thing he should have done when he became US president would have been to re-establish economic relations with his neighbour Cuba.

His visit to SA will never impress this country's people. There is nothing the poor masses will benefit from his visit.
