South African law-enforcement officers are obsessed with showing off.

To shackle the son of former president Jacob Zuma, Duduzane, was low and exposed how bragging our officers are, while they fail to arrest criminals who are involved in cash-in-transit heists and other serious crimes.

That, however, does not mean Duduzane should be treated with kid gloves. He should not get any special treatment. He came into the country to mourn and bury his brother.

Which means if it was not his brother's passing, he was not going to come to answer to his corruption charges. The Hawks were unable to provide a arrest warrant for Duduzane at the airport because there are driven by show-off. Couldn't you let him mourn in peace?

Anyhow, the funeral has passed, and law enforcement should carry on with its work without fear, favour or prejudice.
