The possible split of the ANC after the organisation's December elective conference would be a blessing in disguise for South Africa.

South Africans made a mistake by entrusting the leadership of the ANC to Jacob Zuma. The man had never before demonstrated any leadership. He has only been embroiled in scandals. Zuma has consistently said the ANC is more important than the country and no one in his organisation has called him to order on this.

The squabbles eating away the ANC have now manifested themselves as the country's problems. South Africa is now in the spotlight as one of the most corrupt countries in the world.

Zuma ha s the power to appoint people to strategic positions. These very people are now looting the country. When Zuma fired Nhlanhla Nene and Pravin Gordhan, people thought the ANC would reprimand him, but this never happened. He continues to issue reckless decisions that portray our country as very unstable.

ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe is on record as saying the top six were not consulted about the recent cabinet reshuffle. This illustrates that our country is led by a rogue president who does not account to anyone.

Reports that suggest Zuma met a group of Russians before he reshuffled his cabinet recently can't be ruled out.

The possible split of the ANC, if it really does happen, will be a blessing in disguise. An ANC that can support Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, who is silent about state capture, does not inspire hope for the country's future.
