Esther Mahlangu is a global icon who has done SA proud and we owe her a debt we can never repay for that which she has done for the country and in particular the arts and the Ndebele culture. She is one individual synonymous with the Ndebele culture so much so that every thought of things Ndebele is bound to have mental images of her. 

She famously painted a model of the BMW 525i in Ndebele wall art in the 1990s and the car today stands proudly in the German automaker's art exhibitions...
