On Thursday we saw chaotic and violent scenes play out at the City of Joburg council chambers as councillors from the DA, EFF and ANC clashed over a vote for a leadership post in the house. 

The marathon meeting eventually adjourned after hours of shouting, scuffles, water bottles being thrown in the council chamber and councillors walking on tables.  ..
