As 2021 local government elections approach, the DA finds itself on the downslope. Recent statistics indicate the DA is on a downward spiral – compared to the previous 2016 election where it managed to dislodge four metros from the ruling ANC.
The quest for the DA is to win the black constituency at all costs to gain power and simultaneously maintain white support, but often the DA itself on the horns of a dilemma and its predicament is that the more it gains black support, the more it loses white support, and the more it gains white support, the more it loses black support. In short, the DA finds itself in irreconcilable political differences...
