Lack of basic services is the root of power crisis

It is common cause that access to basic services such as water and electricity is a daily struggle facing people living in conditions of poverty in SA. To some degree, it is the reason why cities across the country are battling an enduring trend of illegal electricity connections. Some in our communities are genuinely unable to pay for electricity and therefore ought to receive assistance provided for through government policies.
