Former US president Donald Trump compared himself to the late anti-apartheid fighter and former president of South Africa Nelson Mandela while addressing supporters in New Hampshire in the US on Monday.
Trump is facing criminal and civil cases, including four felony counts, for attempting to interfere in the counting of votes and to block the certification of the 2020 US election which he lost to President Joe Biden.
During the speech, he suggested he was not scared of being sent to jail.
“I don't mind being Nelson Mandela because I'm doing it for a reason. We got to save our country from these fascists,” said Trump.
