Do you remember Marisol Valles Garciá who took on being the Sheriff of a Mexican town after no-one else wanted the dangerous job?

We've done a search on this 21 year old to see what she's up to these days, as we all know that being a sheriff in a Mexican town is no child's play - no adult's play either.

Valles Garcia, as it turns out, lasted a year until she started getting death threats.

A mystery man believed to have been a member of a drug cartel had threatened her life and the life of her family for months, which forced her to flee.

She also goes on to say, "Then people would start disappearing - friends, people I went to school with. Sometimes their bodies would turn up, sometimes not.

"At the beginning it was really shocking. But after a while you got used to it, as it happened more and more.

"Kids that I went to school with, humble kids, would suddenly start driving flash cars. I'd ask them 'Where did you get the money for that?' and they would reply with a shrug, 'I'm working.' We all knew what they were up to."

She is now seeking asylum in the US.
