At least 24 cases of violent attacks on Gauteng’s emergency workers have been recorded in the province in the past two years including hijackings, armed robberies and attempted sexual assaults.

In the latest incident that happened on Monday at Mshongoville informal settlement in Atteridgeville, Tshwane, a patient was killed during a horrific mob attack as paramedics were trying to assist him.  ..
