Provincial education department accused of sluggish response to problem
Four dilapidated schools in Limpopo have dragged the government to court to force it to activate the Educational Infrastructure Grant (EIG) it suspended to divert money towards Covid-19 in 2020.
Ndzalama, Dingamanzi and Bvuma primary schools including Chameti Secondary which are in and around Giyani have been crumbling for as far back as 2012 with some losing their roofs due to inclement weather. They have not been able to use some of their classrooms because of blown ceiling forcing teachers to cram learners. ..
