Thousands turn up for jabs during first Vooma drive

Target of 500,000 not reached but over 350,000 people heed the call

More than 350,000 people heeded the call to get vaccinated during the first Covid-19 Vooma vaccination drive this past weekend. Although the target of 500,000 had not been reached by 4pm yesterday the department of health said 350,352 people had been inoculated since Friday, when the initiative was launched across the country.
