Audio systems pose risk to young people – study
More than a billion young people are estimated to be at risk of acquiring recreational noise induced hearing loss because of the unsafe use of personal audio systems.
This is according to a study done by the University of Pretoria on the accuracy and reliability of sound level monitoring earphones and the effect of smartphones feedback as an intervention to encourage safe listening use among young people. ..
