While this operation was being carried out, the unit’s wing in Johannesburg was seizing assets at the homes of businessman Edwin Sodi.
Sodi and Mlamleli, who were arrested with five other suspects, had earlier appeared in the high court in Bloemfontein.
All seven of them were granted bail and their case postponed to November 11.
Ngwema told SowetanLIVE's sister publication TimesLIVE three other people are expected to be arrested soon.
These three were expected to join the seven accused at their next court appearance.
