A Limpopo man who killed his ex-girlfriend in Seshego was on Thursday found guilty of murder and theft.

Polokwane high court judge Ephraim Makgoba found Cuthbert Manamela guilty of murdering Lebogang Lamola and stealing her cellphone and house keys two years ago.

Delivering the judgment Makgoba described Manamela as a poor and dishonest witness and commended state witnesses for their transparency and honesty.

He found that Manamela had threatened to commit suicide after Lamola romantically broke up with her.

The state submitted a suicide note from Manamela which was found a day after his arrest in his rented room in Seshego Zone 4.

The court has adjourned for mitigation and aggravation arguments.
