A love triangle ended in blood bath after a man took his lover to his matrimonial home where he killed her and seriously injured his wife.
Police said Mamokotope Evans Kgomola, 28, allegedly shot Eulenda Manganyi, 29, and assaulted and stabbed his wife several times with a sharp object before he turned the gun on himself.
The incident happened yesterday at Khudugane section at Roerfontein village, Sekgosese, outside Giyani.
Police spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the man was later found lying dead in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound. A firearm was found lying next to his body.

Love triangle ends in murder
Ngoepe said according to reports, the man arrived home with the lover in the wee hours of the morning.
"It is alleged that in the early hours of today (Wednesday) at about 2.20am, a quarrel started [among the three] until he tied both the girlfriend and his wife with ropes.
"He subsequently shot and killed his girlfriend. He further assaulted his wife. The wife survived with multiple injuries all over her body," Ngoepe said.
He said the wife has since been released from hospital. He said police were investigating a murder case, while an inquest docket has been opened. -
