The City of Johannesburg has admitted that there was an error in the valuation of properly system.
Makhura said one of Moiloa’s biggest task is to fast track the delivery of mega human settlements.
“We are coming to the end of our term,” Makhura said.
“The delivery systems are in place. He is going to help us drive this.”
The premier said Moiloa is a long serving member of the ANC who has a wide range of political and governance experience which will enable him to hit the ground running in this important work.
Moiloa's swearing-in ceremony will take place on Friday.
Makhura also used the briefing to speak about land grabs in the province.
“I have taken note of the current spate of orchestrated illegal land invasion currently taking place in different parts of the province,” Makhura said.
“Let me state this from the onset, that land invasion is a breach of the law. Those who engage in land invasion must be dealt with by law enforcement agencies”.
Makhura said the land question in the country should be dealt with properly.
“This requires that we work together as a political parties, civil society and business to redress the historical injustices.”
Uhuru Moiloa replaces Paul Mashatile in Gauteng executive

The Gauteng legislature deputy speaker Uhuru Moiloa has replaced Paul Mashatile as the Human Settlements, Cooperative government and traditional affairs MEC.
This announcement was made by Gauteng premier David Makhura at a media briefing on Tuesday.
Mashatile was appointed ANC treasurer-general at the party’s national elective conference in December. This is a full-time position and requires him to vacate his current position in government.
Moiloa's immediate task is to deal with the controversial valuation of properties in the City of Johannesburg.
“I have requested the city to work with the provincial department of cooperative governance and traditional affairs to speedily resolve the concerns of residents,” Makhura said.
