Competition
Sowetans stand a chance to win up to R45,000 in cash by entering the Flavours of Africa competition.

- Made with Maize: Share your favourite dish and tell us the story behind it. Your dish must include maize meal as an ingredient or a side dish.
- Cash prize: R30,000
- Category two
- Your Memorable Food Story: Share your favourite dish and the story and memories behind it.
- Cash prize: R15,000
- The competition runs from October 21 and closes on November 3.
- Competition entries should be original, Sowetan will not be held liable for duplicated recipes.
- Sowetan will contact shortlisted entries for a final round, where they'll be required to send pictures and videos of themselves making their recipe.
