The three escaped male lions have been shot.

 This is according to ENCA.

They say a farmer shot dead one of the lions and wounded another after they entered his farm and killed one of his cows.

Then rangers decided to put down the wounded lion and the living lion.

It is now believed three not four lions were on the loose.

But Sanparks has gone to ground‚ refusing to answer queries.

Sanparks spokesman William Mabasa refused to comment or confirm with one word if they had been shot‚ saying he was “driving” and this publication must get the statement from the Sanparks office.

The office phone goes straight to voice mail. Mabasa ignored all follow up calls and SMSes.

It is thought that “population pressure” limited space and led the lions to escape.
