Two stabbed‚ one shot in head in fracas after taxi drives over wet paint

Two construction workers were stabbed and another person was shot in the head during a fight in Durban on Saturday.

Construction workers were working on the white barrier markings along Power Road in Prospecton when a taxi driver drove over the wet paint.

Police spokesman Colonel Thembeka Mbele said the workers confronted the driver and an argument ensued.

“Before driving off the taxi driver drove told the workers that he was coming back for them. After a while he returned with other occupants and a fight started. Two of the workers were stabbed and one victim from the taxi was shot in the head and critically injured.

 “He was rushed to the nearest hospital for medical attention. Cases of Attempted murder‚ assault to cause grievous bodily harm and common assault is being investigated.

 Mbhele said as the matter was at an early stage of investigation‚ no arrest had been made.

 She said it was not a road rage incident.
