An 18-month-old boy who went missing drowned in the swimming pool of a residential complex in Vanderbijlpark in southern Gauteng on Tuesday afternoon.
The child was found‚ lying in the complex swimming pool‚ during a search by his grandmother and neighbours.
“Upon arrival‚ ER24 paramedics found the grandmother performing CPR on the child‚” said ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring.
“Paramedics took over CPR and initiated advanced life support interventions. Unfortunately‚ after 1 hour‚ no signs of life returned and the child was pronounced dead on the scene.”
