Spur swiftly moved to act on a video that has since gone viral on social media, showing a man and woman in a heated exchange of words and announced that the man is no longer welcome at any of their restaurants.
In the video, a white male is seen standing by a table where a black woman was dining with several kids. He tells her that she needs to discipline her child after an alleged physical altercation between their children.
The exchange is said to have taken place at a Spur restaurant at The Glen in the south of Johannesburg.
