Power has been restored and commuters between Park and Pretoria stations will experience an extended journey time of approximately 30 minutes‚ the Gautrain said on Monday evening.
Passengers were rerouted and delayed by an early power fault on the line between Midrand and Hatfield.
Commuter Kgosi Motlhabi had earlier tweeted about his unsettling trip in the afternoon traffic:
“Massive delays for Gautrain. Our train which was heading North just suddenly stopped after Marlboro because the driver had to U-turn‚” he tweeted.
