Additional charges might be added against the three suspects‚ they said.
One-month-old Siwaphiwe was found in the early hours of Sunday after police intercepted a vehicle near Mariannhill Toll Plaza — two days after she was snatched during a car hijacking at a Durban shopping centre.
Her biological mother‚ S’bongile Mbambo‚ was taken into custody on Saturday‚ while the two occupants of the vehicle stopped by police on Sunday morning were also arrested.
