Westville Boys High School principal Trevor Hall announced the death on Thursday morning of one their pupils Bryn Magree‚ who died after collapsing at a Durban gym.
Magree‚ 16 suffered an aneurysm at the Westville Virgin Active gym on Wednesday afternoon.
Hall posted at 10.40pm on Wednesday that his condition was critical and that contrary to social media posts‚ the school had not appealed for funding as no decision has been made by the neurosurgeon about surgery.
In a statement posted on the school’s website at 6.45am on Thursday‚ Hall said: We are deeply saddened to hear that Bryn passed away early this morning. He had been declared brain dead. Surgery was not possible.”
