Western Cape Department of Education spokesman Millicent Merton‚ said that no decision had been made on the incidents of bullying that took place at Luckhoff High School in Stellenbosch last year.

The school came under the spotlight when two separate videos appeared online showing two students physically and verbally abusing classmates. One of the students‚ a grade eight pupil‚ has since been withdrawn from the school.

“We advised the school to provide us with supporting documents detailing their investigation into the incidents [of bullying] that happened last year‚” Merton said.

“The school has provided us with the documents and now the department has to review those documents. The process is underway but we do not have a deadline for when a decision will be made.”
