Rabagalo 'a trained Pastor and servant of God'

According to Bishop RG Ngwana, one of Lethebo Rabalago's mentors, the prophet's Mount Zion General Assembly (MZGA), based in Mathibela in Zebediela where he grew up, is fairly new.

Ngwana, who can be seen on some posters alongside Rabalago, said the young 'prophet' had received training and guidance from senior pastors prior to opening the ministry.

Ngwana said this was not the first time Rabalago was using objects to demonstrate the manifestation of God's power. "He is a prophet and a servant of God and we are supporting him," he said.

Rabalago has previously told Sowetan that he believed he was chosen before he was born to become a prophet which he explained by quoting a Biblical scripture in the book of Jeremiah.

Posts on the church's Facebook page show Rabalago engaged in different activities with congregants.

In one September status update Rabalago is seen doing demonstrations with fire. The caption explains that people who touched the fire during the church service could not be burnt because of the prayers. Other posts on the page show people falling on the floor as Rabalago lays hands on them. - Zoë Mahopo
