Two suspected robbers have been killed in apparent mob justice in Erasmia‚ Pretoria.
Police spokesman Captain Kay Makhubele said that members of the community had chased four suspected robbers after a burglary at a house in the area on Friday night.
Two of the suspects were caught and beaten to death while the other two had managed to escape‚ he said.
While fleeing the suspects had fired at random‚ wounding two community members‚ he added.
The two wounded are being treated in a local hospital.
Police recovered a firearm and a money case‚ Makhubele said.
