Woman airlifted to hospital after taxi and bus collide

Two women were critically injured when a bus and taxi collided at the intersection of Main Reef and Westlake roads in Florida on Tuesday morning.

ER24 said its paramedics “arrived on the scene and found a bus lying on its side while a taxi was found upright in the middle of the road”.

“Numerous occupants from the taxi and the bus were found lying around the two vehicles‚” a statement added.

“On further assessment‚ paramedics found that 15 people had been injured‚ two of them critically.

Paramedics treated the “two critically injured woman with advanced life support interventions” before one of them “was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a hospital in Pretoria‚ while the remaining patients were transported by ambulance to various hospitals in the area”. — TMG Digital
