The Economic Freedom Fighters noted the “sacrifice and contribution to the struggle” made by Makhenkesi Stofile.

The party “sends its revolutionary condolences…to the family‚ friends and comrades of Makhenkesi Stofile‚ whose credentials as an anti-apartheid activist‚ former premier of the Eastern Cape and minister of sports are unquestionable”‚ said spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

“The generations to come will forever be grateful for his sacrifice and contribution to the struggle against apartheid. Makhenkesi Stofile’s passing comes when he was now serving as ambassador of South Africa to Germany‚” he said.

“We send our condolences also to the ANC for the loss of their comrade and leader. May his soul rest in perfect and revolutionary peace.” – TMG Digital
