Man critical after dropping from train at Joburg station

A man was reported to have been critically injured “after he jumped off a moving train at the New Canada Train Station in Johannesburg South” on Wednesday morning.

Emergency service ER24 said its paramedics arrived on scene at 8.25am “and found the man lying next to the tracks surrounded by a number of onlookers”.

“Paramedics…found that the man had sustained numerous injuries‚ leaving him in a critical condition‚” ER24’s Russel Meiring said.

“The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated‚ the patient was transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for urgent treatment.

“It is unknown as to why the man jumped from the train but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.” – TMG Digital
