Man survives fall from building

A man survived a three-storey fall‚ from one part of a building to another‚ in Cape Town on Friday.

He was working on the roof of a building in Sir Lowry Road.

The man‚ in his 60’s‚ was injured in the fall but brought down safely in a Bronto Skylift by Cape Town Fire and Rescue‚ assisted by paramedics.

ER24 and Life Healthcare paramedics gained access to the man by taking an elevator up the building‚ going up service stairs and climbing through a window onto the part of the building where he was found.

“Upon assessment of the man it was found that he sustained moderate injuries. He was treated and brought down in the company of paramedics‚” said ER24.

He was transported to hospital for further treatment.
