Social Development Minister and ANC Women's League president Bathabile Dlamini could not stop her tears from flowing in Port Elizabeth on Friday.
According to The Herald, Dlamini was and other government officials were blocked from accessing the Port Elizabeth drug-based centre during an opening ceremony.
Members of the community hurled insults at Dlamini saying that she was drunk from expensive whiskey.
Dlamini and other officials were blocked from officially opening the R67 million Ernest Malgas drug treatment centre which is aimed at helping teenagers overcome substance abuse.
