Hip-hop star Emtee is set to launch his fashion range later this month‚ which will include t-shirts‚ hoodies and custom-made chains. The threads will cost you anything between R150 and a whopping R1‚500 for an entry level chain.

The Roll Up rapper has confirmed to TMG Entertainment that whispers of a fashion line are true and that his line will make its debut at the Back To The City music festival on April 27.

The rapper‚ who bagged four awards at the Metro FM Music Awards earlier this year‚ will become the latest artist to have his own range of clothes – following similar ranges launched by AKA‚ Cassper Nyovest‚ Riky Rick and Major League.

“I have been working on a line of clothing that has T-shirts‚ hoodies‚ snapbacks‚ beanies and accessories. I’m busy putting the stock together so that it will all be ready by Back To The City‚” he said.

Items in Emtee’s fashion range has been inspired by his hustle and has a very strong African influence.

“The clothes are inspired by a lot of things but mostly by my hustle.”

The most expensive items in the range are the custom-made chains‚ which start at R1‚500. Emtee would not be drawn into revealing the maximum amount a customer could fork out for one of these signature pieces.

“All the chains are custom made and start at R1500 for a small silver chain. If you want a bigger one we can make you one‚” he said.

But if a chain is a little out of your price range‚ perhaps a branded hoodie would be better? Emtee reveals that hoodies will go for R450‚ which is a lot less than the R700 Riky Rick was charging for his.

Emtee’s fashion line will be available in selected stores later this year.
