In yet another freak accident in Durban’s Westville area – the second in just as many days — a tree has fallen on a car‚ killing a man‚ paramedics reported.
ER24 said a local resident was travelling in his car on Essex Terrace on Saturday afternoon when a large tree fell on top of the vehicle.
“It is believed that tree fellers were busy cutting down trees on the side of the road when the incident occurred.
“Paramedics from ER24 that arrived on the scene found the man still trapped inside of his vehicle. Sadly‚ there was nothing that they could do for him and he was declared dead on the scene‚” ER24 said.
On Friday evening‚ a 55-year-old man was killed when a wall collapsed on top of him after heavy rains in the area.
