Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Basic Education together with the Select Committee on Education and Recreation commenced a joint oversight visit to the Lady Frere District in the Eastern Cape on Sunday.
The purpose of the visit is‚ among others‚ to monitor school readiness for 2016‚ Parliament said in a statement.
“The Committee will also look are challenges that led to low performance during the 2015 National Senior Certificate results. The visit will end on Wednesday‚” it added.
