Vavi back in dock for speeding

Former Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi was on Tuesday expected back in the Edenvale Magistrate's Court to face a charge of speeding.

His last appearance on the charge was in November.

Vavi was arrested on Sunday, October 4 for speeding on the R24 in Edenvale, in Ekurhuleni. He was allegedly driving at 207km/h in a 120km/h zone.

He was released on R1 000 bail.

A day after his arrest, Vavi confirmed on Twitter that he had appeared in court for speeding.
