Victim bites off bit of alleged rapist’s tongue

A 24-year-old man accused of allegedly raping a 66-year-old Eastern Cape woman — who bit off a piece of his tongue during the ordeal — appeared before the Centane Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning.

The man was not asked to plead and his case was postponed to Monday‚ December 14 for further investigation.

According to police‚ the victim bit of a off piece of the suspect’s tongue before he raped her in her bed at her home in Sigangala Location in Mnyameni Village in the Centane area near King William’s Town on Friday night.

The accused cannot be identified until he has pleaded in court.
