Three drivers killed in separate crashes in KZN

Paramedics from KwaZulu-Natal’s Emergency Medical Services attended to a series of accidents‚ some fatal‚ across the province on Thursday.

The driver of a car died at the scene when he collided with a bus in the Osizweni area near Newcastle. One occupant of the bus was treated for minor injuries.

Another driver died when his car collided with a minibus taxi on the N2 near Kokstad‚ in southern KZN. One of the passengers from the minibus was taken to hospital by paramedics.

In another crash‚ a man died when a minibus crashed into his car in the Mpumalanga area between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Five others sustained minor injuries.

Paramedics in the Port Shepstone area treated a 20-year-old man after he was knocked off his bicycle on the P200 road in Marburg. The man sustained serious injuries‚ but was in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the causes of all the accidents.
