In an interview with Durban's Vuma FM, Sfiso Ncwane responds to the recent stories about him not taking care of his mother.

He starts of the interview with famed radio presenter Linda Sibiya by apologising first. His apology is to those that he may have offended with his extravagant gift to his pastor.

He reiterates that he made a promise while ill that if God could pull him through it, he would thank God so that the whole world can see.

Ncwane states that he knows that the many different people in our country praise and worship differently and he acknowledged that this might cause others to not understand his gift to his pastor.

On the issue of his mother, he had this to say:

He mentions that once he reached fame he built his mother a house, furnished it and has been taking care of her ever since.

Ncawane tells the radio presenter that he feels the issues his mother raised to the media are something that should be dealt with by the family’s elders.

He goes on to say that people should remember that the newspapers write stories in a manner that suits them.

“Even when the truth comes out, the papers will print it in fine print or not print it at all.” he said.

Ncwane mentioned that his mother does not know how to speak to the media so he sees how she could be misquoted.

He again apologized to his family and fans stating that if his donation had offended them in anyway he was sorry.

“I apologise, but it was a promise I had made to God.”

Ncwane then alluded to the fact that his family might not like his wife.

He said he would not take back his gift from his pastor and should his pastor want to give it back he wouldn’t take it, but they would discuss where they could donate it.
