Former Generations actor Tiki Nxumalo, known as Sompisi in the soapie, has passed away.

The news were confirmed by a family who spoke to DailySun.

Nxumalo used to play Ruby's father on the old Generations.

According to Nelisiwe Khumalo, Nxumalo was found lying on the ground outside his house in Durban and they suspect it was an asthma attack.

"When we got to his house we saw his asthma medication on his bed. We suspect he might have collapsed trying to find help because he was alone in the house," Khumalo told DailySun.

People have been sending their condolences to the obviously shocked family.

Nxumalo was not married and had no children .
