A good Samaritan who was attempting to stop two armed robbers from fleeing in Commercial Road in Port Elizabeth was shot dead on Friday afternoon.
The man – who has not yet been identified – chased after the gunmen in a vehicle after witnessing the robbery.
Police are on the scene and have confirmed that they have arrested one person believed to have been involved in the robbery.
