Sbusiso Leope, known as DJ Sbu, has not appeared in court due to the delay in his blood test results.
The controversial DJ was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubela said that they are not sure when the blood test results will be available and confirmed the DJ will appear in court as soon as the results are out.
The arrest was confirmed on Monday by Police spokesperson Tsekiso Mofokeng.
"In the early hours of this (Sunday) morning , police were patrolling Main Reef Road near Randfontein. He was arrested for drunken driving and the person driving was DJ Sbu.”
This is not DJ Sbu's first traffic offense, he was caught doing 257km/h on the Golden Highway in December 2007. He was also caught doing 170km/h on a 120km/h zone on N1 near Lynnwood Road in 2014.
DJ Sbu has been in the media for all the wrong reasons this year. From being fired from Metro FM for advertising his energy drink, to being reprimanded by SABS for falsely claiming his energy drink MoFaya was approved.
Reports also emerged recently that his education foundation Sbusiso Leope Education Foundation (SLEF) is not a registered non-profit organisation.
