Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere has died in a car accident in Johannesburg in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to EWN Mhere was on his way to OR Tambo International Airport to fly to Cape Town to attend the J&B Met.

He and a friend were killed instantly, while his father survived.

Mhere originally from Zimbabwe, joined the Top Billing team in 2010 after winning the presenter search.
