Four men were arrested on Thursday morning for allegedly being in possession of stolen Coca-Cola cans, Gauteng police said.

"The arrests were made following a truck jacking that occurred last night [Wednesday] at Warden, in the Free State," Captain Shado Mashobane said.

"The truck was recovered in Alberton. The truck's tracking device showed the truck had stopped at plot 69 in Rietspruit in Kliprivier area."

On arrival police found the hijacked truck's cargo, being 340ml and 440ml Coca-Cola cans, and the four men were arrested, including the owner of the plot.

Mashobane said the four were expected to appear in the Vereeniging Magistrate's Court on Monday.
