Intruder asks homeowner to call 999 after getting his head wedged in window

A bungling intruder who became stuck in the window of a house he was attempting to break into, stunned the homeowners by asking them to call 999 for help.

The intruder had tried to get into the house by squeezing in through a bathroom window, but he soon became wedged in the gap.

The man was stuck for more than an hour, until the owner of the house went to use the bathroom, at around 5.30am.

when Humberside Police arrived, the man readily admitted he was trying to break into the house.

He has since been arrested and taken into custody.
